I am looking for someone, preferably with some healthcare experience, to work part time, 2 afternoons a week as well as any possible sick time or vacation time when extra coverage is needed you will be the first asked. The client is 93 years old with dementia. She is diabetic, used to use insulin but now is just controlled by diet. She also follows a gluten free diet. Schedule is somewhat flexible depending on the coverage needed. Shifts would be 3:30pm-9:30pm Wednesday and one other afternoon. Wednesday is a must. Usually it is Wednesday and Thursday but we can change the Thursday if need be. If you were asked to work a morning you would get the client out of bed, take her to the bathroom, change her clothes and her depend, test her blood sugar, give her her medications, make her breakfast, provide companionship for a few hours and then lay her down for her nap. In the afternoons you would get the client out of bed, take her to the bathroom, change her depend, make her lunch, give her a shower on one of your shifts, watch tv with her, make her a snack, give her her medications, take her to the bathroom to put on pajamas and a new depend and then put her in bed.
