Hello!

We are an LMT-owned, therapeutic massage specialty practice. Twice voted "best massage" by Willamette Week. In 2021 we were honored with "best local business service" during the pandemic. The challenge brought us even closer as a group and the bond inspires me every day. Many of our LMTs have been with us for 5 and up to 11 years! Working for just one clinic as an LMT creates a more centered and fulfilling group practice.

Massage is where our hearts are and my focus is all about caring for LMTs. Imagine healing people in rooms designed with an LMTs happiness in mind. Enjoy the views from each room and feel connected to your environment as you look at the trees, city, and sky.

We are here to support your evolution as a dynamic massage therapist and human being. If you lack advanced training we are here to guide you. If you have advanced training and experience that is a plus! I am a massage educator at heart so I am always inspired to share and guide. Our team is ready to bring in one more thoughtful person to become part of our caring group practice. If you were to talk to any of our LMTs they will tell you about our wonderful crew.

LOOKING FOR A GREAT FIT:

This is a rare employee position and we welcome all people, of all ages, races, gender, religion, ethnic background, and sexual orientation. We are a small positive family of LMTs that are looking for someone who loves that community feel and is kind, thoughtful, easygoing, loyal with a great work/care ethic. Our LMTs are in very high demand and we have a loyal clientele. You will rarely have an opening with waitlists almost every day.

OUR STORY:

I'm an LMT practicing and teaching therapeutic massage for over 28 years and am the founder of this one-of-a-kind massage practice. Eleven years ago, I opened up this healing home in a wonderful location and helped to restore and completely remodel a charming craftsman home in PDX. Every detail of the restoration was designed around a massage therapist's needs. Our personal connection to each massage therapist is a key to our longevity.

Our massage therapists work together with respect for each other's different skills. We have created a very different type of massage center where the main focus is therapeutic massage and being led and locally owned by a massage therapist makes a BIG difference.

Flexible Part-Time= Ranging from 15- 19.5 hours a week (60 min. massages). At least 1-weekend shift Saturday, or Sunday are some key shift openings at our center. We do have other options that we can consider!

We devote our time, hearts, and focus to our massage therapists and in doing so we only hire people that want to work at one massage center. Over the years we have found this is a recipe for a more centered, balanced, and successful group practice.

YOUR SWEET SCHEDULE:

Our LMT shifts are lifestyle friendly with reasonable start and end times.

We can set a schedule that works for everyone. We have 8 massage rooms to have very flexible weekend shift times. You do not need to work late or early on the weekends!

Evening weekday shift example: The LAST evening appointment times typically START at 6:00pm 6:15, or 6:30 pm. Weekend shifts can be even more flexible.

Morning shift example: Morning shifts typically begin at 9 am.

Time between massages can be extended for more rest time, lunchtime, etc. This is unlike a spa or chiropractors/doctors setting. 30-15 minutes is typical. We customize.

If you want to do 20+ massages per week We will find the best schedule for you.

INSPIRING JOB FOR A PERSON MATCHING THE FOLLOWING:

You can perform DEEP tissue/deep PRESSURE by nature and can also adapt to people who cannot receive this kind of work.

Work at 1 place for a more centered practice and life.

You would rather have someone else paying for all overhead costs, without all the stress of paying and processing ALL of your taxes, bookkeeping, marketing/websites, billing, supplies, rent/lease agreements, building/room maintenance, buying equipment, healthcare etc.

Desire and ability to do transformative bodywork in a clinical setting. That means there is some paperwork and entering some helpful client info.

Likes to collaborate well with others.

Can take some customer credit card payments and can reschedule patients when needed.

Comfortable in a group practice sharing clients/patients with other providers.

OPEN to learning new techniques in bodywork and client care, even if you have practiced massage for many years.

If you have your own massage space and you are ready to let go of the responsibility then I can help you with that transition. It would be a conflict of interest to have dual massage practices.

PAY:

In the first year, with tips, you can average $55-$65 massage. For 20 massage hours a week, this would be from $55,000-$65,000 per year. If you choose to do 25 hours of massage per week this would be from $70,000-75,000 per year. When you include a health insurance stipend, paid vacation, PTO/Sick Pay, retirement match, bonuses such as coverage for an LMT in need, this brings up the rate to $65.00 - $75.00 per 60-minute massage. When you add in all of our benefits, you are making even more per hour.

Making this income with zero overhead and fewer taxes when compared to being a contractor or in a "contract LMT position" makes a big difference. For our LMTs, this income is more than they made when working alone or as a contractor.

Being booked every shift is another key element to consider when you compare being an employee vs a contractor. Our LMTs who used to own their own practice had much more to manage with unpredictable schedules. Unfilled schedules are a MAJOR loss for LMTs at many other businesses.

The bottom line is you can earn as much working here as compared to an LMT working for themselves in Portland, with a lot MORE security and free time. Go on vacation while someone else runs the business

LET US KNOW WHY YOU ARE "The One" FOR US!

We will be investing time and effort when you join our practice. If it feels right, then I am so excited to meet the person I plan on spending many rewarding years with!
