Job Description: Vernonia Dental is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team in the wonderful community of Vernonia, Oregon. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing professional dental cleaning, scaling, and root planning services. You will play a crucial role in helping patients maintain oral health and prevent dental diseases. Key responsibilities include:
Conducting initial dental assessments and preparing patients for oral examinations.
Performing dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and applying fluoride and sealants.
Taking dental radiographs (x-rays) and intraoral photos as needed.
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Assisting in managing medical and dental emergencies.
Working collaboratively with dentists to recommend treatment plans.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited institution.
Current state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with BLS certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using dental software and digital radiography.
Detail-oriented with strong patient service skills.
Working Hours: Full-time: Monday through Thursday, 8am-5pm
