Small music venue looking for an individual to be our lead door person. In this role this individual will be expected to work the door during music events regularly 3-4 nights per week, as well as to play a key role in overseeing other door staff working at the venue. In this role this person will be working closely with our music booker, providing some admin duties for them.
While working the door: hours will vary, but events are in the evenings. Door shifts generally start between 6-8:30 pm and finish between 10 & 11:30 pm. The door person arrives before the show to set up the room (rearranging tables as needed). During the show, the door person checks tickets and IDs of guests entering the music room and sells tickets. They also will help buss the room as used glassware & dishes accumulate. At the end of the show, the person fills out paperwork to determine performer pay.
Admin duties: Create paperwork for each event ahead of time, write checks that will be needed for those events. Print posters at FedEx and hang them in the venue, rotating as events take place. Update ongoing events report after events happen. Hours are flexible, and as needed.
This position will be 15-18 hours a week.
Must be over 21 years of age and have a current food handler’s card and OLCC card.
