Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and service-driven Sales & Catering Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for driving group business by selling meeting space and securing guest rooms while maximizing both room and catering revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food & beverage, a deep understanding of conference and catering needs, and exceptional communication and negotiation skills. This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities Include:
Prospect for new business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, trade shows, community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, etc.
Negotiate with clients to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential and fulfillment of contractual responsibilities while satisfying client guest room and catering needs.
Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales.
Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders to all appropriate hotel departments to facilitate efficient planning.
Communicate group details and changes to all hotel departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
Maintain an active trace/follow-up system via CRM Program.
Ensure accuracy of banquet charges and provide bill on completion of event.
Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, capacities and dimensions of meeting space. Understand venue capabilities and limitations of all event spaces.

Qualifications & Skills:
2+ years of experience in hotel sales, catering or restaurant and hospitality experience preferred
Proven success in previous sales roles.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
High level of creativity and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and make decisions in a fast-paced, client driven environment.
