Kitchen Experience Required: We prepare various cuisines – Vietnamese, Chinese, and American

Pay Range: $21 - $25 per hour

Location: Fortune Casino in La Center

We're looking for reliable and energetic Line Cooks to join our team. If you have a great attitude, a love for food, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, we want to meet you!

What You’ll Do:

Prepare High-Quality Dishes: Execute beautiful plate presentations with precision.

Clean as You Go: Maintain a tidy, organized workspace.

Health Code Compliance: Ensure everything you do is up to food safety and health code standards.

Work with Urgency: Keep up the pace in a high-energy kitchen while maintaining quality.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a line cook.

Current Food Handler's Permit

Knife Skills: Proficient and safe handling of knives and kitchen equipment.

Attention to Detail: Produce consistently high-quality dishes with attractive presentation.

Team Player: Must have a positive attitude and work well with others.

Willingness to Learn: Open to mastering new techniques and recipes.

Sense of Urgency: Ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Cleanliness: Maintain sanitation, follow food safety guidelines, and always clean as you go.

Basic Line Cook Responsibilities:

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

Prep food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces)

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Answer, report, and follow instructions from the head chef

Clean up station and take care of leftover food

Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely manner

Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
