Description Patricia Carlile with Robert Half is in the market for a Tax Staff - Corporate to manage crucial tax-related tasks within our steel manufacturing industry based in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be tasked with handling indirect tax responsibilities, updating tax rate matrices, and conducting annual SOX control reviews among other duties.Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly sales/use tax returns to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations Efficiently process and manage annual property tax payments to keep our financial records up to date Handle annual unclaimed property due diligence requests to ensure the organization meets all legal requirements Regularly review and update sales tax rate matrices across various locations to ensure accurate tax calculations Conduct annual SOX control review and testing across multiple locations to ensure compliance with internal control requirements Utilize software such as CCH ProSystem Fx, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP S/4HANA for efficient tax handling and reporting Oversee corporate income tax and corporate tax compliance to adhere to local, state, and federal tax laws Take part in compliance audits to ensure our operations meet all legal and policy requirements Implement indirect tax compliance measures to avoid any potential legal issues Develop and deliver ad hoc reports as necessary to provide key insights into tax-related matters.Please contact Patricia Carlile with Robert Half to review this position.
