Providence Supportive Housing is seeking a Night Manager.
The Night Manager is a LIVE-IN position that provides support and assistance to the residents of our Senior Housing community. RESIDENCY ON-SITE IS REQUIRED. This is a non-wage, contracted position. Compensation is a 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment that is approximately 530 sq feet.
The Night Manager provides on-call emergency response services WEEKDAY OVERNIGHTS/WEEKENDS ( all hours outside of normal M-F business hours) when full-time Housing staff is not available or on the premises. In addition, there are minimal daily duties to help ensure the safety and comfort of our community. Primarily, this position is one of observe & report, unless immediate action is necessary.
Ideal candidates would:
-have previous work and/or familiarity with seniors (social work, gerontology, housing, care-giving, medical, etc)
-be generally available nights and weekends to respond to emergencies/urgent matters
-occasionally available at other agreed upon times/days
-capable of remaining calm and making sound decisions during urgent matters
-able to bend/push/pull to occasionally reach water shut off sources, plunge toilets, etc
-able to safely use a ladder for occasionally replacement of batteries in smoke detectors, shutting off overhead water sources, replace light bulbs, etc.
