Position SummaryThe Grant Analyst is responsible for processing grants for the Vibrant Communities Service Area (VCSA), primarily Portland Parks & Recreation. This position assists with the grant application process (providing analysis and guidance in grant budget development and assisting with council document preparation) and completes monthly grant billings. The Grant Analyst also acts as a liaison for bureaus and VCSA offices, reaching out to grantors when necessary, and represents the bureau at reoccurring and ad hoc meetings with the City Grant Office. This position is also responsible for maintaining out-grant forms and financial processes in the City’s WebGrants system.This position supports VCSA teams on policy and compliance issues as they are identified – completing risk assessments; coordinating with leadership, City Auditors, OMF offices, and others; and assisting in training and process improvements identified to remedy. The Grant Analyst may also represent the team on projects for new system migrations, implementation, and updates.
