Pacific Community Design is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day design aspects of projects, focusing on meticulous attention to detail and collaboration across multiple disciplines. Utilizing your expertise in CAD and engineering design, you will ensure the production of accurate and high-level project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

· Perform professional engineering work including planning, design, construction, and maintenance of various projects such as site grading, wastewater management, transportation, and stormwater management.

· Prepare progress reports, field notes, engineering studies and reports, and maintain records for assigned projects.

· Coordinate activities with consultants, engineers, contractors, and other outside agencies.

· Mentor and share experience with other disciplines to grow the design staff’s skills and knowledge in Civil Engineering and Civil 3D.

· Ensure accuracy and consistency of all elements of a project design, delegating peripheral tasks to support team members.

· Contribute new ideas for business development and operational improvements.

· Foster a collaborative work environment and seek simple solutions to complex problems through productive collaboration with sub-consultants and agency review staff.

· Work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.

· Delegate tasks to junior staff members and ensure the quality of their work.

Qualifications:

· 6-8 years of experience in Civil Engineering.

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a professional license in Civil Engineering in the state of Oregon.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Civil 3D, with accurate calculation abilities in Excel.

· Experience in site layout and grading, stormwater management, transportation design, hydraulics, and hydrology.

· Demonstrated success in time management, planning, and talent development.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision, identify potential challenges, and proactively assess solutions.
