Pacific Community Design, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm in Tigard, Oregon, is seeking an Entry-Level Associate Civil Designer to join our dynamic team. As an Associate Civil Designer, you will collaborate closely with Project Engineers to execute projects under the guidance of the Project Manager. Utilizing your expertise in engineering software, you will support project development across all stages.

Responsibilities:

Execute a wide range of drawing and model production tasks, including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations for diverse and complex assignments.

Utilize Civil3D for design purposes and employ other software for intricate calculations and reporting.

Maintain accuracy in design calculations and ensure compliance with various agency design standards.

Assist in the creation and plotting of planning and construction documents with meticulous attention to detail.

Stay updated on jurisdictional regulations and agency standards through proactive research.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Civil3D.

Understanding of engineering principles such as transportation design, hydraulics, and hydrology.

Strong written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on effective and open dialogue.

Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

Eagerness to understand project goals, scope, and expectations.
