Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Reggio Emilia Preschool Teacher who will focus on classroom consent language and an anti-bias curriculum. This role involves creating a safe, engaging classroom environment where children can express themselves while learning to respect the boundaries and identities of others.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development: Design and implement a Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum for children ages 2-4 that incorporates anti-bias principles to promote social justice, equity, and respect for diversity.

Classroom Environment: Establish a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and mutual respect among young children.

Consent Language: Integrate consent language into daily interactions, teaching children about personal boundaries and respectful communication.

Observation and Documentation: Observe and document children’s learning and development, using insights to tailor experiences to their individual needs and interests.

Family Engagement: Build strong partnerships with families, sharing insights about their child’s development and encouraging their involvement in the learning process.

Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in early childhood education, anti-bias teaching, and the Reggio Emilia approach through continuous professional growth.

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience and engage in reflective practice.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in early childhood education.

All required Oregon courses completed, including Infant and Child CPR and First Aid, Food Handlers Card, and enrollment in the Central Background Registry.

Experience working with children ages 2-4, preferably in a Reggio Emilia-inspired setting.

Knowledge of anti-bias education and the ability to incorporate it into classroom practices.

Strong communication skills, particularly in implementing consent language with young children.

Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for all students and families.
