Skills You'll Teach
We're seeking experienced martial arts instructors to lead activities in our specialized Studio Camps. In addition to martial arts, we also offer camps in outdoor wilderness skills, fostering resilience and a deep connection with the natural world. You could apply for:
Martial Arts Instructor: Craft and teach martial arts curriculum after school and at camp.
Arts & Crafts Instructor: Specialize teaching a hands-on craft skills such as woodworking, ceramics, or blacksmithing.
Role-Playing Game Master: Lead role-playing game camps for youth, along with teaching foam weapon combat.
Outdoor Guide: Teach everything from wilderness survival to archery, boating to rock climbing, and farm craft to fishing.

EDUCATOR ROLES:
We offer both seasonal and year-round positions for martial arts instructors, with competitive compensation based on experience and role:
Guide Lead and mentor kids in martial arts and outdoor skills. Develop their resilience, strength, and team spirit. Studio (onsite) - $16.50 - $17 per hour / Adventure (outdoors) - $721 - $743 per week.
Coordinator Guide youth in their martial arts journey, oversee safety and program operations, and foster leadership among guides. Day Camp - $819 - $990 per week / Overnight - $940 - $1025 per week.
Mentor (aka Sensei) With extensive experience in martial arts education, mentor staff, and occasionally lead groups, sharing wisdom and stories. $20 - $23.50 per hour.

Engaging Teaching: Inspire and educate campers in martial arts, emphasizing self-defense, respect, discipline, and teamwork.
Innovative Problem-Solving: Employ creativity and resilience in planning and executing activities that captivate and challenge campers.
Effective Communication: Maintain open and inspiring communication with campers, parents, and team members, ensuring a positive and educational experience for all.
Qualifications
We seek martial arts instructors with a blend of skill, passion, and experience:
Expertise in Martial Arts: Proficient in various or one key martial arts disciplines, with the ability to teach and inspire youth of all ages.
Leadership and Teaching Experience: Strong leadership skills and a background in teaching or coaching, preferably with youth.
Adaptability and Resilience: Capable of thriving in dynamic environments, with a knack for creative problem-solving and flexibility.
Commitment to Safety: A vigilant approach to safety, with the ability to anticipate and manage risks effectively.
Location: Our programs take place in various locations across SE Portland, NE Portland, W Portland, and Sandy, Oregon. Reliable transportation is required.
