Hours: Starting in the Fall, Mondays through Thursdays during after school hours for elementary and middle school children. In the meantime, you will be pivotal in helping setup this program with our team and running promotional and free workshops for kids to attend.

Note: Due to the nature of working with children, a thorough background check will be performed to ensure the safety of the children.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate Lead Instructor to join our dynamic after school enrichment program focused on 3D printing, design, and hands-on making for students in 3rd to 8th grade. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of deep technical knowledge in 3D printing and a passion for fostering creativity and problem-solving in young minds.

As the Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for:

- Designing and delivering engaging lessons and projects that introduce students to the fundamentals of 3D printing, CAD software, and maker culture.

- Providing individualized support and guidance as students develop and prototype their own designs.

- Managing classroom behavior in a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment.

- Maintaining the 3D printing equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely.

- Collaborating with the program coordinator and other instructors to ensure the curriculum is well-aligned with students' developmental needs and interests.

Key Qualifications:

- Experience working with kids in educational settings, ideally in a STEM or makerspace environment.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Background in education, engineering, art, or a related field is preferred but not required.

- Ability to adapt quickly in an early stage endeavor that will not have everything in place.

Compensation:

- $25 to $35 per hour, depending on expertise, with the possibility of bonuses based on performance and program growth.
