Are you a morning person and fan of sunrises? Come be a part of our hot air balloon crew! Our crew has a great time setting up, chasing, and packing up huge hot air balloons each morning, March-September. We fly up to 25 passengers in 4 balloons each morning just south of Wilsonville (Aurora Airport), and that takes a coordinated crew. As a company, we’ve been flying for over twenty five years and fly thousands of passengers each year. It’s an early morning as we start about half hour before sunrise but are all finished by about 7:30-8:30 each morning.
What does a balloon crewmember do?
-Create a safe and enjoyable experience for passengers
-Help set up, inflate, and launch hot air balloons
-'Chase' the balloon while in flight and help coordinate the landing
-Assist and coordinating landing, deflation, and packing of the balloon
-Interact with passengers to ensure a great experience
Is joining the crew for me?
-We need individuals that are reliable and are ok to get up early in the morning (we meet as early as 5am)
-The experience takes about 3 hours, but we are all done by about 8-9am
-Be able to lift 50lbs or more and be fairly active, balloons are large and heavy aircraft
-Every day and flight is different, we are looking for dynamic and flexible individuals
-Willing to learn (we will train you how to work with the balloons, it’s a blast!)
-It’s a plus if you have experience driving a large van or trailer
