Powell’s Books, the largest independent bookseller in the world, is seeking a number of Generalists to work at the future Powell's Books kiosk at the beautiful Portland International Airport. The Kiosk is slated to open in late summer. Candidates should have an interest in, and an aptitude for, excellent customer service in a busy environment, proactive bookselling, and visual merchandising.
The schedules are still to-be-determined, and may include opening or closing shifts and at least one weekend day. Hours of Kiosk operation are seven days a week from 6am to 7pm. Schedules will be regular and consistent. When you apply, please specify your availability.
The starting wage for these positions is $15.95 per hour, with a wage increase to $17.00 effective the first day of the pay period following the 31st calendar day from hire.
