Position Overview:
The Sales Associate is responsible for driving occupancy, increasing revenue, and providing an outstanding customer experience. This role involves managing customer relationships, overseeing the leasing process, and maintaining daily activities to assist the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling retail items and storage units to new and existing tenants.
- Follow-up on incoming leads and closing opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with potential and current tenants, ensuring their storage needs are met.
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person providing professional and friendly service at all times.
- Give tours to potential customers.
Leasing and Administrative Duties:
- Oversee the leasing process, ensuring all contracts and paperwork are completed accurately and in compliance with company policies.
- Assist in managing tenant accounts, including payments, renewals, and terminations.
- Maintain concise records and light filing duties.
- Keep the office clean and clear of clutter.
- Perform Daily walk-throughs of the property
Marketing and Outreach:
- Inbound calls/emails are answered and noted in daily logs.
- Updated pricing is checked on all marketing sites.
- Work with local businesses and message boards to promote the business and ongoing promotions
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and General Manager to ensure smooth operations and a high level of tenant satisfaction.
- Offer insights and feedback to owners and management regarding facilities and customer feedback.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports as instructed by managers/owners.
- Regularly report sales data to upper management and suggest actionable steps to improve performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and customer service, preferably in the self-storage industry or some form of rentals.
- Clean and neat presentation with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Strong sales acumen and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM systems and property management software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Problem-solving and creativity are a plus
Working Conditions:
- Part-time position three days a week. Monday - Wednesday 9:30 - 5:30
