About the Role:
Bullseye is seeking an energetic, hands-on supervisor to lead a team in its Quality Control dept. You’ll be overseeing a nine-person team inspecting colored sheet glass from two production lines.
Ideal candidate should have 3-5 years exp in QC, 2 + years exp in supervision, and college degree preferred. Exp in qualitative evaluations + data management preferred. Qualified candidates should possess good leadership, common sense, and good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop team members on two shifts.
Make daily quality decisions.
Monitor glass trimming area for daily production.
Lead continuous improvement projects related to the QC department.
Track & trend internal quality metrics to help proactive solve production problems.
Escalate quality problems to the glass forming crew and Floor Manager.
Accurate documentation glass quality to produce daily quality reports.
Knowledge of full product line and grading standards for all glasses.
Ensure team member have the required knowledge and skills to work independently.
Oversee daily set up of area and posting of schedule.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
3 – 5 years of supervisory experience
Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience a plus
Good color perception, quality control experience helpful
Strong (interdepartmental communication skills – verbal and written.
Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Computer literate
Location & Commitments:
In-Office in Portland, Oregon
Work hours Monday-Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm but can vary.
