We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Controller/Office Manager in the construction industry. As the Controller/Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of our office and ensuring the financial stability and success of our company.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for managing the administrative functions of the office, such as handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, managing office supplies, and coordinating meetings and events.

Responsibilities

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing

Prepare and review financial statements, as well as analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement

Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements

Manage payroll and employee benefits, including processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and administering benefit programs

Handle all aspects of the office administration, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and coordinating meetings and events

Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate inventory and maintenance

Develop and implement office policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency

Supervise and provide guidance to the office support staff, including receptionists and administrative assistants

Requirements

Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the construction industry

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis

Proficient in financial reporting and budgeting software

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills

Knowledge of construction-specific software is a plus.
