JOB DESCRIPTION:
Location: Portland SE close in
Seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper with 3-5 years professional experience preferably in the service industry – this is not a remote position
Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software is an asset
Service industry with long term yearly serviced customers
Our Company has been in business for 50 years and we service Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho
and Montana
Responsibilities:
This is a full-time time permanent full charge bookkeeping position
Day to day management of SAGE 50 accounting system, posting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Maintain AR - create invoices and prompt Collection of AR – record cash receipts and make bank deposits
Maintain AP to ensure payment is made according to supplier terms – weekly check runs
Reconcile GL accounts as needed
Conduct thorough reconciliation of bank accounts
Prepare month end close financial statements and other month end management reports
Payroll bi-monthly through Paychex, prepare commission reports
Assist in preparation for year end tax return, work closely with CPA
Prepare assorted sales tax reports throughout the year
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft word and outlook
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferably 3 consecutive years
Competitive salary based on experience- starting $62,400.00
