SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT/CPA

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CPA in a local public accounting firm in Vancouver, WA. We seek a professional who is client service oriented with strong technical and communication skills who enjoys challenging projects. We are an independent, multidisciplinary CPA firm and our clients are primarily small to middle market privately held businesses and their owners. Our firm provides tax, assurance, business and transactions consulting services to a diverse group of clients in a wide variety of industries, many of which are in the construction industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for supervising and managing junior team members

Review tax, compilation, and review engagements

Prepare individual and business tax returns

Prepare compiled and reviewed financial statements

Research and resolve tax and accounting issues

Identify tax saving opportunities

Effectively prioritize and manage time

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service

REQUIREMENTS

CPA Certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or finance

5+ years’ experience in public accounting

Proven work experience preparing individual and business tax returns as well as compilation and review engagements

Possess thorough professional knowledge of taxation and accounting

Capable of making accurate decisions on tax and business consulting matters

Ability to think analytically, identify tax issues, opportunities, and solutions

Exceptional attention to detail

Clearly convey thoughts and knowledge and suggest solutions to owner

Demonstrate dependability and flexibility

Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with Excel®, Word®, Lacerte® and QuickBooks® programs
