We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Job Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for examination, recording medical history and vital signs.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Perform routine lab tests and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are up-to-date in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Provide patient education and instructions for home care.
- Sterilize and prepare medical instruments and equipment.
- Handle administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, and processing insurance claims.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous medical back office experience/medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and basic anatomy.
- Comfort working with Integrity's diverse patient population, many of whom are members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
