The Position:

The Siuslaw Public Library District has openings for on-call Library Clerks. This position performs a variety of routine clerical functions quickly and accurately, including circulation functions using a computer system, and requires a commitment to excellent patron and library service. Successful candidates should additionally have a working knowledge of word processing and the internet, and the ability to offer routine troubleshooting assistance for library technology. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of experience working directly with the public. There will not be a regular schedule of hours, but selected applicant(s) will have the potential for irregular and occasional substitute hours, including weekend and evening hours, at the Florence and/or Mapleton location. This position has a starting salary range of $16.11 to $17.10 per hour. The full salary range is $16.11 to $24.81 per hour.

6. Conditional offer of employment: A conditional offer of employment, contingent upon the successful completion of a reference check and background check and verification of the applicant's legal right to work in the U.S., will be extended to the successful candidate.

7. Start Date: A start date will be determined after all conditions of employment have been met.
