The Position:

The Siuslaw Public Library District has an opening for an hourly Librarian 1 specializing in Teen Services or Children’s Services. This is an entry-level, professional position that will consist of 20 hours a week and will include scheduled evening and/or weekend shifts. This position requires a commitment to excellent patron and library service for young people along with the ability to work and excel in a team environment. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience. A satisfactory combination of experience, education, and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this job may be substituted. For applicants interested in more than 20 hours per week, additional hours in the library’s circulation department may be available at the Library Assistant classification and pay rate. This position has a starting salary range of $23.25 to $24.68 per hour. The full salary range is $23.25 to $35.80 per hour.

7. Start Date: A start date will be determined after all conditions of employment have been met.
