At Fort George, we love events and celebrating good times with dear friends, so we're hiring an Event Sales Coordinator to guide and grow events at the Fort! We’re looking for a dynamic individual to coordinate private events and assist with our annual large events across a variety of venue spaces. Big events. Small events. Non-profit events. Community events. Dark Events. Summer Events. We love hosting fundraisers, class reunions, weddings, fly-fishing film festivals, yoga classes, board meetings, and birthdays. Whether it’s in our dedicated private event space, across the entire Fort George city block, under the brite tanks in the brewery, or in one of our three unique restaurant spaces - there’s always something happening at the Fort George. This is a sales position, highly self driven and motivated folks, reach out to us! Part of your salary will be driven by your annual sales.

Essential Functions:

Managerial

Create an annual sales plan to generate leads and reach private event revenue goals set out by supervisors.

Build proposals for all private event clients. Upsell offerings when able.

Handle event logistics, including setup of prearranged layout and tear down. Coordinating with vendors and managers to ensure all products and tools are on site.

Collaborate with the Marketing department and pub managers to assist with on-block events, mug club engagement, and on-site special events.

Establish and maintain a client base of businesses, individuals, and organizations to book and retain revenue-generating private events.

Schedule and execute regular Mug Club events in the pub spaces.

Work with pub managers to ensure bookings are properly scheduled and staffed, and staff working events are trained and have all the tools and information to successfully execute events.

General

Find ways to accommodate guests the best we can while maintaining goals of the business.

Oversee leadership and execution of all events alongside pub managers.

Regularly work event shifts, including but not limited to opening, support, shift change, closing duties, and covering as needed.

Work with the Marketing Director to assist in planning and project management for the annual Festival of the Dark Arts and Lupulin Ecstasy festivals and other marketing-led events.

Complete job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Ideal Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older

Previous experience in event or project management.

Valid Food Handlers card (may be obtained within 30 days from first date of employment).

Valid OLCC Server’s Permit (may be obtained within 45 days from first date of employment);

Cicerone Beer Server certification required. (may be obtained within 60 days from first date of employment)

Proficient with Google Suite, project management, CRM, and company-required software.
