In addition, employees are also entitled to participate in an employer sponsored 401(k) plan, to save for retirement.  Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement.POSITION PURPOSE: The Operator I operates and maintains sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in refinery/industrial facility to purify water to meet customer specifications.PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs minor preventative and corrective maintenance dutiesRecords plant operations data.Adjusts plant operation to specified parameters.Collects samples and performs routine sample analysis.Operates valves, pumps, motors, and other related equipment.Reports operation changes and problems to supervisor.Performs cleaning an upkeep of plant grounds, building, vehicles, and equipment.Maintains plant logs during assigned work hours.Reports inoperable equipment to supervisors.May perform basic lab analyses such as total solids, suspended solids, total coliform, pH, DO, etc.May perform routine maintenance functions such as checking oil/grease levels, lubrication, and minor/routine repairs.Maintain effective working relations with plant personnel, clients, EOS staff, and the public.Performs miscellaneous duties as directed.
