Position SummaryYour job in the department is to . . . Assist patrons with the reservation system and check in process. Provide customer service and hospitality towards visitors.Your job also involves . . .Performing general manual tasks on a seasonal basis at all Lincoln County parks, while observing all safety rules, laws, and park rules.Essential Functions/Major ResponsibilitiesAssisting guests / check-ins:

Utilize Firefly reservation computer program to check in guests.

Meet and greet campground guests at check-in, collect fees, and remind guests of compliance with campground rules.

Sell day parking passes, firewood, and shower change.

Extend hospitality and courtesy to guests and other employees.

Facilitate cash transactions on site.

Lead responsibilities:

Provide the overall daily direction of Moonshine Park Hosts (volunteers and staff) as they complete the necessary work within the campground.

Ensure cohesive team communication between Park Hosts.

Create weekly schedules of Park Hosts.

Enforcement:

Provide campground rules to users and seek compliance.

Report any illegal activities to law enforcement.

Other duties as assigned:

Assist with general cleaning of park when needed. Collect garbage and clean Park restrooms.

Assist Park Hosts with daily patrols of the campground.

Typical QualificationsMinimum Education LevelHigh School Diploma / GEDDesirable Qualifications: Previous experience maintaining public parks and contact with the public preferred.Knowledge of:

The maintenance and use of tools and equipment.

Computer systems.

Skill or ability to:

Work in a safe and efficient manner.

Observe safety rules, laws, and Park rules.

Receive and give directions.

Problem-solve and de-escalate tense situations.

Complete tasks without direct supervision.

Lead a small group of employees and volunteers.

Convey information, ideas, and facts both orally and in writing to supervisors, colleagues, and individuals, inside and outside the county, using language and a format the audience will best understand.

Utilize computers and other technology to communicate in written and verbal forms (e.g., word processing, texts, emails, spreadsheets, department-specific software).

Effectively relate well with others, including supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the county. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and working to maintain constructive working relationships.

Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work. Show up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies, and procedures. Meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules.

Job Conditions and Physical DemandsWORKING CONDITIONS Job Conditions: Rural office area with some outdoor activities in all kinds of weather. Shifts will cover weekend schedule at the park.Work Location: Moonshine Park Travel: None.Limited Duration: This position is staffed the months of May through September.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands are typical of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Ability: Tasks involve the ability to exert light to moderate physical effort in moderate to strenuous work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate to heavy weight (12-20 pounds).

Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds.

Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed with exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents. Tasks are occasionally performed with exposure to violence, disease, or pathogenic substances.
