What you’ll do:
Safely ascend and descend trees to assess work areas and execute trimming or removal operations
Skillfully rig dangerous trees over obstacles while ensuring optimal safety
Inspect trees for structural integrity and potential hazards before commencing work
Maintain and operate personal climbing gear in top condition throughout projects
Coordinate closely with ground crews to ensure efficient and secure tree removal
Adhere strictly to industry safety protocols and company standards during every job
Lead challenging tree removal projects, taking charge of complex climbing operations
Mentor and guide less experienced team members with expert advice and best practices
Assist in planning work orders and executing detailed project plans
Keep work sites organized and report any equipment or safety issues promptly
Job requirements:
Seven to ten (7-10) years of tree climbing experience preferred
Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by our auto insurance provider require - CDL is a plus
ISA Certified Arborist certification preferred
Proven ability to rig dangerous trees over obstacles safely and familiarity with residential tree service operations, with three
professional references required to validate your expertise
Salary range:
Tree climbers with 7-10 years of experience: $35-$40 per hour DOE
Tree climbers with 2-6 years of experience: $25-$34 per hour DOE

At Tall Trees, our season kicks off now and runs through mid-December, offering you the chance to work in one of the most dynamic outdoor environments in Alaska. We maintain a 40–50 hour work week that occasionally includes working in the snow and inclement conditions—a unique benefit that lets you truly experience the Last Frontier.
