Moore Construction has been providing custom wood framing services in the Rogue Valley for over 20 years. Today we are the largest framing subcontractor in Southern Oregon, with multiple crews throughout the valley serving primarily commercial and prevailing wage jobs. In 2024 we also launched a steel fabrication shop and field crew.

In 2024 we expanded our operations into the structural steel space, and are currently hiring for an in-house structural steel detailer to join our team. As an integral part of our construction projects, you will be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive detailed drawings and plans for structural steel components. Your expertise will ensure the successful fabrication, assembly, and installation of steel structures that meet our high standards of excellence.
STEEL SHOP FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES
Pay scale starts at $32+ per hour and may increase depending on experience.
Supervise and lead the steel shop team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
Perform welding duties and ensure all welds meet industry standards and job specifications.
Coordinate closely with project managers, estimators, and detailers to ensure that shop drawings are accurately interpreted and followed.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, enforcing safety protocols and compliance with OSHA standards.
Inspect fabricated steel components for quality control, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of shop equipment, scheduling repairs and preventive maintenance as needed.
Train and mentor shop personnel, fostering skill development and a positive team environment.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies, coordinating with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment.
Communicate with the field crew to ensure smooth coordination between shop and site installations.
STEEL SHOP FOREMAN REQUIREMENTS
Must be a certified welder.
Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman role in a steel fabrication environment.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a welder with 2 years in a shop environment.
Work Location
White City, OR - This is an on-site job. Remote work is not available.

Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
