This is a part-time position with flexible, as-needed hours — a good fit for someone who’s looking to stay active in the field without committing to full-time scheduling. The pay is fair and based on experience. No over-the-top promises here — just honest work with a team that respects your skills.
Here’s what you’ll need (required in Oregon):
EPA Section 608 Certification – Required to handle refrigerants.
Oregon Brazing Certification – Needed for commercial HVAC work.
Limited Energy Technician Class B (LE/B) License – For working with HVAC and related electrical systems.
Ideally, you also bring:
2+ years of HVAC service and maintenance experience
Completion of a certified HVAC training program or apprenticeship (PCC, Lane CC, etc.)
Solid understanding of HVAC systems, components, and controls
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
The ability to work independently and manage your time well
Additional requirements:
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools when needed
Good communication and customer service skills
Willingness to continue learning and staying current in the trade
Schedule & Compensation:
Part-time, flexible hours depending on project needs
Pay is fair and depends on experience
