JOB TITLE: Temporary Point of Sale Assistant
SCHEDULE: Up to 40 hours/week for 6 months
COMPENSATION: Starting wage of $17.50/hour

Job Summary: To assist the POS Department in ensuring accurate product information through the POS system and in creating effective and accurate signage to attract customer and to promote sales. Additionally, this role provides ongoing support to POS staff, Buyers and Front-End Staff for all POS related issues and maintenance.
General Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of Catapult POS software
Enter information in the POS system for new products, monitor and maintain accuracy and integrity of product information in the POS system
Process cashier-identified errors on a daily basis in conjunction with Department Managers
Maintain accurate, clean and clear shelf tags through the store
Enter information in the POS system monthly for scheduled advertisements
Post promotional signage and remove it when promotional period ends where applicable
Create POS reports as request by Department Managers
Qualifications:
Highly organized and detail oriented. Excellent at prioritizing and time management.
Knowledgeable regarding Co-op merchandise and department structure
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Able to follow through on projects to completion
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of pricing and margins
Ability to handle multiple demands, manage changing priorities and have a willingness to grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.
