Seeking Two Part-time Budtenders
We are seeking two knowledgeable and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part-Time Budtenders. As a budtender, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their cannabis-related inquiries, recommending products, and ensuring a positive and safe shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. Assist customers in selecting the right cannabis products based on their preferences and needs.
Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of different strains, cannabis products, and consumption methods. Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and new products.
Product Recommendations: Assess customers' preferences, medical conditions (if applicable), and desired effects to recommend suitable cannabis products, including flowers, concentrates, edibles, topicals, and accessories.
Sales and Upselling: Promote and educate customers about featured products, promotions, and special offers. Effectively communicate product benefits and any potential risks associated with cannabis consumption.
Point of Sale Operations: Accurately process customer transactions using the point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory. Monitor product levels, including flowers, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, and inform management when supplies are running low.
Compliance: Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to the sale and consumption of cannabis. Ensure that customers meet legal age and identification requirements.
Safety and Security: Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of customers, staff, and products.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on cannabis industry developments, product knowledge, and relevant regulations.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to create a positive and productive work environment. Assist team members when needed and contribute to the overall success of the dispensary.
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 21
Possess a current OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit
Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred
Strong knowledge and passion for cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns effectively
Basic math and computer skills for cash handling and point-of-sale operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and cash handling
Familiarity with local cannabis laws and regulations is a plus
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in a sensitive industry
These positions are located in Medford, Oregon and both will start as part-time roles, around 30 hours, with a changing weekly schedule to fill in existing gaps. Applicants must have open availability for all dispensary hours:
Monday through Sunday 7:30am-10:30pm
Starting pay is $16 per hour with a review after the initial ninety day probationary period.
