Primary Purpose

This position serves as a liaison between Kairos’s Medford location, Jackson Services, and the community. The Outreach Coordinator will work predominantly with the Jackson Services team and take direction from the Jackson Services Program Director for tasks pertaining to the program’s needs, while the Outreach Coordinator will report to the Human Resources (HR) Director and be considered a part of the HR team. This position will research, organize, and resource outreach events, will navigate communication with community partners, and will represent Jackson Services in public forums to support successful recruitment and networking efforts. The Outreach Coordinator will also attend job fairs and other community events to recruit candidates for open positions; this role will focus on foster parent and staff recruitment predominantly.

Education And Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, human resources, or related field preferred. Three years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency required in written and interpersonal communication skills and Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Experience with electronic health record system preferred. Preference given to candidates with behavioral health industry and recruitment experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners.

Attend community partnership meetings regarding Treatment Foster Care and foster parent recruitment opportunities.

Attend community partner meetings, workgroups, and other networking events to be an ambassador for Kairos’ services and mission.

Provide accurate program information to community partners in a variety of formats and environments.

Conduct informational presentations for community partners as requested or assigned.

Research, resource, and attend community outreach events to recruit staff and foster parents, as well as to share opportunities for accessing services with community members.

Develop and maintain tabling materials.

Collect and analyze data on local demographics to present to program leadership to inform quality improvement efforts.

Responsible for adding foster parents to training portal and electronic health records and performing tasks related to the certification or re-certification process as assigned.

Advertise for, screen, and recruit volunteers, for program activities, such as groups and camps.

Demonstrate alignment with the philosophy of the agency’s clinical model by utilizing the approaches in interaction with youth and young adults, families, staff, and community partners.

Abide by ethical codes, mission, values, and professional standards, including confidentiality.

Actively utilize, reference, and follow agency policies, procedures, and workflows.

Present a positive attitude, professional demeanor and demonstrated respect for youth and young adults, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Perform all work tasks in a proper and safe manner per established policies and procedures to prevent unnecessary injury, time loss, and agency expense.

omply with all federal, state, and agency health and safety reporting requirements.

Other Duties

Perform other related work as assigned.

Attend trainings and meetings as assigned. Will be required to meet with Jackson Services team and Human Resources team weekly.

May be appointed to committees.

Travel: Travel is expected for required trainings, meetings, and events.
