Growing family oriented farm seeking candidate for filling a full time position as an irrigation specialist in corn and other crops. We are a diverse farm, with many varying crop types and equipment. Irrigating duties will include moving big gun travel sprinklers with tractors, laying out irrigation pipe and hoses, and other general irrigation duties.
Training will be provided for the right candidate for tractors and equipment.
Hourly starting pay will be depending on experience.
Job Requirements:
- A candidate must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Lift approximately 50 lbs repeatedly moving pipe, and other irrigating supplies.
- Must be punctual in arriving to locations on time, starting up, and shutting down irrigation systems.
- We are safety oriented, and candidates must be willing to adhere to safety standards and regulations.
- Must be able to work efficiently with limited supervision in remote fields.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers over the phone, and in person.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Candidate Preferences:
- Willingness to work over 40 hours, and weekends as needed during busy seasons is important.
- Ability to work rotating shifts of mornings, evenings, and weekends with other irrigators.
- An ideal candidate will possess experience in agriculture, and/or heavy equipment operations.
- Knowledge of irrigation equipment is preferred.
