Required Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Six (6) months or more experience as a custodian with an industrial, janitorial firm, or commercial business and thorough knowledge of custodial materials and methods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with various types of floor maintenance equipment including floor scrubbers, extractors, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
Ability to obtain Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance within three months of hire date.
Possession of a valid driver’s license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of
Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver’s license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)).
Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
Successful completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City.
Available Schedule:
Thursday - Saturday, 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $18.58 (first step) to $19.51 (second step). Directly related experience and qualifications will be evaluated alongside others who perform work of comparable character as required by Pay Equity Law. Six steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
