I live near Ruch along Hwy 238. I need more help to get ranch chores done. Some regular chores and various one-time projects. Changing various irrigation sets, mowing, fence repair, ditch clearing, weeding, equipment maintenance, firewood, etc. This is all outside work, and includes occasional heavy lifting, like hay, firewood, equipment. I have all the tools, like chainsaws, hedgers, pole saws, blowers, riding mowers, tractors, implements, hand tools, etc.
In the summer, work starts early, to beat the heat. Timeliness and reliable transport are a must. Preference given to local Applegate residents. Schedule can possibly be flexible, depending on the situation.
If you have experience with this type of work and equipment, I pay $20/hr, cash at the end of the day. If you do not have experience, but are willing to learn, I am willing to train, but pay starts lower, at $17/hr. It moves up as your experience and skills progress. A development plan will be documented, with milestones and related pay increases. You need to be able to learn and remember new things, and follow instructions, but especially safety procedures. Farm equipment requires focus and attention. I have another experienced hand already. Work will start out part-time for a trial period. Once you are trained up on the equipment and the ranch, you can get to full time, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. This will last until at least end of October, and may become permanent, depending on how you come along.
You can come work a day and we can both see if it's a good fit. If so, I'd like an understanding that you can work until October or so, so I don't spend a bunch of time training, and then have you move on just as your productivity kicks in.
If this is a good fit, call me back at 408-981-4795 to discuss. Principals only, don't call on someone else's behalf.
