We are looking for a couple to live and work on our large property near Azalea, OR. We have a secluded A-frame cabin for hearty souls (no electricity) with running water, including an on-demand propane water heater, an enclosed outdoor shower and bathtub, a full kitchen, including a propane fridge and range. And of course an outhouse : )
We are looking for reliable and responsible individuals who have "been around the barn a few times", know at least a bit about auto mechanics, basic irrigation/water supply systems, plumbing, basic forest care, gardening, housekeeping, general animal care, and a handyman for any imaginable, or even unimaginable, circumstances. In other words, a self-sufficient lifestyle in the country.
We pay $15/hr, rent-work trade. The workload varies seasonally, so some outside source of income is advisable. The A-frame (partially furnished), rents for $475/mo.
Job benefits? You would live in a beautiful valley surrounded by the Umpqua National Forest, with access to plenty of trails for hiking, mountain biking, nearby creeks and rivers, swimming holes, a large reservoir, and a large organic vegetable garden with more than enough to share, but needs some work initially.
