NOW HIRING: Part-Time Medical Assistant or Front Desk (Independent Contractor)

Grants Pass, OR | $20/hour | 10–12 hours/week

A small, naturopathic medical clinic is seeking a professional, reliable, and detail-oriented

assistant to support a solo provider in a part-time role. This is an independent contractor

position for 10–12 hours per week at $20/hour.

Role Overview:

The assistant will provide front desk support, manage patient communication, coordinate

referrals, and help maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. The ideal candidate is

calm, tech-savvy, and able to maintain strong boundaries and discretion in a quiet, trauma-

informed naturopathic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities Include:

Professionalism & Conduct

Arrive on time and maintain a polished, professional demeanor

Greet patients warmly and use a quiet voice to maintain confidentiality

Respect the peaceful tone of the space

Confidentiality & Compliance

Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines

Log out of systems when stepping away

Secure all patient documents and files appropriately

Administrative Tasks

Answer phone calls and emails using provided templates

Schedule, confirm, and follow up on appointments

Help with billing questions and basic administrative tasks

Manage the check-in/out process and minimize patient wait times

Task Management

Complete assigned tasks only during the provider’s designated hours

Handle referral coordination and documentation (specific to one insurance panel)

Clock out when tasks are completed

Cleanliness & Supplies

Perform daily light cleaning (e.g., vacuuming, wiping surfaces, emptying trash)

Keep the workspace tidy and stocked with needed supplies

Track and report supply needs specific to the provider

Team Collaboration

Offer help with non-medical tasks to keep clinic flow smooth

Communicate any workflow concerns promptly

Maintain clarity about scope and defer clinical decisions to the provider

Billing & Invoicing

Submit accurate weekly or biweekly invoices

Include date, hours worked, rate, and correct business name

Ideal Candidate:

Works independently and honors clinical boundaries

Values a peaceful, low-stimulation work environment

Requirements:

Legally eligible to work as an independent contractor

Has reliable transportation to the clinic

Comfortable using email, phone, and EHR systems (training provided)

Able to invoice for services rendered
