The Punch House Winery and Tasting Experience is a beautiful boutique winery located on Blackwell road in Central Point. Hand-crafting aromatic and expressive wines in Southern Oregon. Founded in 2017, our guiding principle is to create premium wine using Oregon grapes and offer the highest quality customer service. We make onsite: Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé of Grenache, Pet-Nat, and our famous red blend, the Princess Magpie and the Star-crossed Kid.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an enthusiastic, people-focused Tasting Room Associate to host visitors & guests. This position is part-time (2-3 days a week), with additional growth opportunities available for the right candidate. Our ideal candidate is passionate about wine, displays an extraordinary level of customer service, and creates a positive guest experience at all points of contact. Lead in example for high-touch/low-touch service, customer engagement, guiding customer experience, and conversion to sale and upselling. Communicate with guests effectively about the winemaking process, as well as be comfortable leading public tours and hosting large groups. There are additional opportunities to represent the winery at special events on and offsite, as needed. If you love food, wine, and people, we want to meet you. Wine knowledge is appreciated, though we can provide that education for those who are looking to start their career in the wine industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet visitors, guide them through tastings, events, sit-downs.
Sell wine and offer wine club memberships.
Cultivate relationships with high-value customers.
Increase customer acquisition and retention.
Be a brand ambassador for The Punch House, on and offsite.
Ring in orders, answer phone and emails.
Maintain & update reservation calendar.
Organize & clean service items. Glasses, serving trays, chairs, décor etc.
Set up the tasting room, patio, and garden seating daily.
Assist with restocking, inventory, wine packing, and upkeep.
Assist with setting and serving for private events.
Follow company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
21+ years of age.
Able to lift 50lbs (case of wine).
Experience in retail sales, restaurants, events or a similar hospitality setting.
Wine industry and/or tasting room experience is welcome but not required.
Computer proficient: Mostly iPad.
Available to work weekends, some holidays, and possible evenings for events.
You have a knack for selling without being pushy.
Knowledgeable about Rogue Valley AVA & Southern Oregon.
Excellent communication skills.
Organized, detail-oriented & clean.
Comfortable working independently, as needed.
Self-motivated, confident, decisive and collaborative in approach.
Calm, cool and collected throughout hospitality service.
Good teammate – willing to help to get the job done.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Part Time (2-3 days a week)
Competitive hourly wage ($15-17 DOE) + bonuses, and tips.
