Description Robert Half has a long-term contract (with the opportunity to go permanent) for an available experienced, organized Staff Accountant at a reputable company. The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will provide support in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process
Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Maintain monthly payment schedules
Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings
Requirements - Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Excellent attention to detail
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Efficient in ERP systems
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
