Massif is seeking a Financial Analyst to assist the Director of Finance in maintaining accurate financial reporting and information for monthly, quarterly and annual financial close on a timely basis. To assist the Director of Finance with cash planning, budgeting and forecasting, and detailed financial reporting to management in support of the Company’s vision, strategies and goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyzes financial data and assists in preparing monthly financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow report, accounts receivable/payable reconciliation and balance sheet account reconciliations

o Analyzes actual revenues against budget and forecasts, by customer, by product

o Analyzes revenue/COGS/margins by product and by grouping, and authenticates accuracy of ERP/Accounting system processes

o Maintains fixed asset activity, calculates payroll accruals, commissions, rebates, royalty calculations, sales tax review, filings and accruals, and property tax filings and accruals

o Performs reconciliation of bank statements

o Provide support for annual tax preparation

o Assists with inventory cost revaluation process

o Maintains inventory reporting and valuation for all locations

o Completes credit references and credit applications

Manages Finance relationship with 3PL, validates all data between WMS and ERP

o Understanding and support of EDI process and datapoints

Contributes to the preparation and evaluation of annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts

Identify and act on opportunities to reduce costs, gain efficiencies and increase profitability.

Manages the company’s annual physical inventory process and ensures accuracy of all inventory balances

Prepares and manages annual external audits, with a focus on financial/reporting integrity and compliance

Assists in weekly cash management processes

Analyzes and reports yield and purchase price variances on a monthly basis

Serves as backup to Director of Finance and Sr. Staff Accountant, including payroll processing, AP vouchers and payment processing and AR collection

Has access to confidential customer credit card information and is subject to the Company’s Credit Card Security Policy

Performs other duties as assigned

Performs all duties in accordance with Company Quality Management System

Possible domestic travel (less than 10%)

COMPETENCIES:

Thorough knowledge of Company products and customers and complex vendor/customer relationships

Excellent mathematical/statistical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills

Experience with manufacturing and inventory management related to finance

Experience with cost accounting preferred.

Advanced report writing skills for various platforms including Excel formulas

Preferred experience with NetSuite

Maintains strict confidentiality with sensitive company information

Ability to organize and effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Capacity for extended concentration and focus

Sound judgment

Ability to influence without formal authority

Team-player

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation skills

Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, MRP/ERP systems, web searching, 10 key calculator)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent education or experience

At least five years’ experience in a finance/accounting position

This position is primarily a sedentary position, which requires frequent use of a computer monitor and keyboard, including fine manipulation for frequent use of 10-key calculator. It requires occasional walking and lifting up to 25 pounds. It requires the ability to talk and hear. There are no special vision requirements. It rarely requires bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, or reaching

This position is in an open work environment with moderate office noise, but we are currently using a hybrid approach to our working environment due to Covid.

This position rarely requires driving a rental vehicle while traveling on Company business.
