ZCS Inc. is a multi-disciplinary Oregon A&E consulting firm that has served clients throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1978. As an established engineering firm with an emerging architectural department, we work collaboratively across disciplines and offices to provide comprehensive services to our clients. Many of our recent projects include substantial renovations and additions for K-12 educational facilities and seismic retrofits of existing buildings. ZCS has four office locations: Grants Pass, Medford, Klamath Falls, and Oregon City.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the integrity of the accounting records; the processing of all disbursements, including payroll; the maintenance and enhancement of accounting/financial policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls; HR support including benefit administration; and other financial and human resource functions as assigned. The CFO will be the accountant’s immediate supervisor. The responsibilities of this position include:

Daily accounting functions include covering for staff absences and vacancies when needed.

Accounts Payable Data Entry and Processing

Payroll and benefits administration.

Recruiting support including onboarding and new hire documents.

General Ledger review and reconciliation

Project administration

Review of contracts for project design services

Supervise all financial administration personnel.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Proficiency with benefit administration

Experience with ADP payroll systems preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

3-5 years’ experience in accounting and payroll

Benefit administration experience preferred.
