Relationship Bankers (RB) build relationships with customers by meeting face to face and and/or by telephone. They provide proper, industry-related, counsel to our clients by engaging them where and when the need arises. Strong banking relationships are built on integrity and trust. RBs recommend bank products to meet/solve the unique financial needs and goals of our clients. They will process routine financial transactions for customers in the Branch, open new accounts and focus on building strong relationships with new and existing customers. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Serves consumer and small business customers by opening new accounts and proactively engaging customers to understand and help with their current and future financial needs.
Proactively reach out to clients, by phone, in order to deepen existing banking relationships and recommend additional products/services.
Completes documentation required to establish and maintain new accounts.
Processes routine financial transactions for customers quickly and accurately (including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments and cashier's checks), in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
Works with partners to deliver exceptional customer experience, acquire, deepen, and retain relationships, and help customers succeed financially.
Builds relationships with customers by asking questions to learn about their financial needs and understanding customers goals.
Builds relationships with branch employees by working together as a team to provide exceptional customer service.
Perform account maintenance activities including updating member contact and personal information.
Perform follow-up activities and outbound calls for new and existing clients.
Partner with other business units in sales and service activities, as appropriate
Comply with and follow all applicable policies and procedures as well as governing laws and regulations. This includes but is not limited to: performing all assigned duties under the WVBK compliance programs and related laws and regulations. Successfully completing all mandatory compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.
