- RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, frequency coordination, analog-to-digital converters, cell site equipment layout, and circuit design and simulation (VHF, UHF).
- Responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, components, or systems.
- Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
- Design experience and knowledge of highspeed digital PCBs and FPGA (typically Xilinx/VHDL)
- Develops and executes product testing and integration plans for new or updated products.
- Will corroborate design with a senior systems, hardware and software engineers
- Supports manufacturing and product services elements in the company to maintain operation of current designs, and to resolve issues therein.
- Write and review technical documentation, have good verbal communication skills and task coordination.
- Serve as a leader, coaching team members and driving products to market.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- No direct supervisory duties. Will review the work of junior engineers and provide mentorship.
- At least 10 years of related experience and/or training in Electrical Engineering is desirable but more important is broad based experience.
- Ability to read, write and interpret technical documents such as training manuals, corporate documents, and contracts. Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers and employees in a positive manner.
- Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft software and familiarity with Sage MAS 100 business management software.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Attention to detail essential.
- Requires a bachelor's degree of Electrical Engineering.
