Amentum is looking for Recycling Project Manager who will serve a critical role in supporting a Fortune 500 client in achieving their strategic waste reduction objectives. The selected candidate will be working full time in the Solid Waste and Recycling Program at one of the client’s campuses. A successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring recycling programs and strategies to ensure the efficient and effective recycling of construction waste materials. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for sustainability within the construction industry.The ideal applicant for this position will demonstrate a passion for sustainability, have a real interest in client service, learn quickly and understand back-of-house operations at a corporate facility. This position will support the client’s facilities construction group and focus on all aspects of commercial operations waste and recycling. Items will be collected transported, processed and shipped off site from approved and established collection points as agreed upon with the Amentum site team, the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) organization and the customer.HIRING SALARY RANGE : $83,000.00 - $91,000.00 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)Responsibilities:

Act as subject mater expert and emergency response for waste and recycling activities.

Employee will work in-office, and out in field, assisting a diverse group of subcontractors and facility operators.

Travel to multiple sites as needed and cross train with facilities team.

Ability to work independently, self-motivated and flexible schedule as needed.

Manages and supports client work order completion with a high degree of customer service.

Employee will collect, track and report solid waste data with accuracy and integrity.

Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to promote recycling best practices and address any concerns or challenges.

Coordinates the collection and flow of general waste and recyclables from point of generation to disposal.

Packages waste for transport, coordinates, and processes shipping paperwork to customer standards and supports the shipping process.

Collects general wastes and recyclables from key generators throughout the various site buildings on route and consolidates the waste stream for processing.

Properly segregates waste by classification as defined by the customer and the site EHS team.

Conducts periodic general waste recycling events, pilot projects and program auditing as needed.

Identifies waste materials for reuse or donation and supports site operating procedures.

Works with site team for special projects, moves, cleanouts, and activities which generate general waste and recyclables.

Provides high level of customer service when operating onsite or interacting with site employees.

Maintains the supply and equipment inventory used for the collection and shipment of waste.

Coordinates and arranges for the shipment and delivery of waste to recycling vendors.

Assists in program training and supports the training and mentoring of new hires.

Collects and reports basic level of data to report daily operations and time spent.

Oversees the management of and access to general waste and recyclable material processing areas.

Vendor management, from service through payment, tracking and reporting.

Monthly data accruing to client format and standards.

Lead group trainings, education and outreach efforts.

Coordinate weekly meetings, site walks and onsite auditing as needed.

Dispatch waste vendors and tech teams as needed, resolve operational concerns in real time.

Minimum Requirements:

Construction project management experience.

In-depth knowledge of construction materials, waste streams, and recycling processes.

MS Office capabilities, including MS Teams excel file management.

Experience in operations management and/or project management.

Able to work onsite, 40 hrs/week.

Able to spend large portion of day on feet and walking as needed.

Four years of related work experience and/or equivalent educational experience.

Basic experience with phone and email communications.

Ability to manage time and priorities and grow to become subject matter expert.

Detail oriented with solid written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently as part of a multi-functional, geographically disperse team.

Can effectively manage multiple tasks and has the commitment to drive solutions.

Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen test.

Able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Have valid state drivers license.
