Working in compliance with legislation and IMS (required for all)
Manage / conduct the implementation for Failure Analysis with a directive to manage the available resources and equipment to implement the Root Cause Corrective Measure to improve customer impact and part quality.
Conduct detailed analytical analysis of system or component level problems that affect reliability, quality, etc. This includes the use of statistical analysis, 8-Step analysis, 5why’s or other established methods.
Provide technical support to the factory, to ensure that Thermo Fisher Scientific is capable of shipping products with a view to robustness, quality and reliability.
Review and support the supply chain with engineering expertise. This includes the analysis of parts for reliability and supplier technical quality issues.
Support Field Service / GTS with product issues as necessary. May require developing an action plan looking to resources to address customers’ on-site issues.
Track evidence of the changes, report out (up to DLT level) and communicate the results of the actions.
Demonstrated experience participating in technical projects is helpful.
Proven experience with process improvements and methods. Experience with the use of statistical process control and statistical problem-solving methods, including Six-Sigma methods, is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise analysis of data and basic experimental methods.
Self-starter who is also highly productive with limited supervision.
Must function as a productive team member.
Requirements:
Bachelor / Master degree in a technical field, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
4+ years relevant experience
Willingness to work in high-tech industry manufacturing environment.
Must demonstrate ability to detail engineering reports using engineering and statistical software as well as common Microsoft Office and Acrobat applications.
Proven track record to plan and resolve issues that involve gaining partnership of multi-functional, multi-cultural groups and sites without damaging relationships.
Must have ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as the need arises.
Fluent in English and local language (verbal and in writing).
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
