Work ScheduleStandard (Mon-Fri)Environmental ConditionsOfficeJob DescriptionThermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a premier leader in the Materials and Structural Analysis Electron Microscopy (EM) business, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Compliance Specialist III to join our team. As a Compliance Specialist III, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders within the Sales and Service Operations Center (SSOC) to develop and maintain Contract Administration Playbooks, standard operating procedures (SOP), and efficient processes. This role will also involve supporting and participating in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) projects and other initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with SSOC teams and relevant parties to build and update Contract Administration Playbooks, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest policies and procedures.

Partner with the Global Commercial Operations Excellence (GCOE) team to initiate and support Practical Process Improvement projects and other initiatives.

Review, evaluate, draft, and negotiate various sales and services related documents for compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures, , including government-public contracts at the federal, state and local levels.

Stay informed about policy and compliance changes by regularly checking iConnect Legal, Government, and relevant websites, as well as participating in local and corporate training sessions.

Develop and update SOPs for drafting proposals in response to bids, RFPs, RFQs, etc., related to government and non-government contracts, including POs reviews and terms and conditions negotiations.

Conduct trainings on Playbooks, workflow processes, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Federal, State Government policies and regulations, and identification of non-compliance red-flags.

Support SSOC with complex sub-tasks relating to price reasonableness, questionnaire responses, and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requests.

Assist with evaluating customer risk assessments, profiles, and contract strategies.

Support registration processes relating to portal and non-portal questionnaires, qualifications, and compliance requirements.

Act as a back-up for the Contract Administration Supervisor as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business or legal field or equivalent experience.

Minimum five (5) years of experience in contract management, training, and project management.

Firm understanding of commercial and government contracting, including Federal Acquisition Request (FAR).

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance business needs with potential risks.

Meticulous and committed, with a strong focus on accuracy, integrity, and dedication.

Proven track record to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
