We are looking for a Metal Shop/Sheet Metal worker. This role is responsible for monitoring work activity, working with clients and customers, ordering supplies, inventory, fixing equipment, and enforcing rules and regulations associated with the job site/shop. A Metal Shop/Sheet Metal worker must be able to perform all duties and responsibilities described with minimum supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for ordering shop supplies.
2. Responsible for maintaining inventory and inventory count.
3. Responsible for equipment and machinery repair.
4. Responsible for inspecting and ensuring attention to detail and quality of projects.
5. Responsible for ensuring that all deadlines are met.
6. Communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, contractors, subcontractors, and venders.
7. Able to multi-task efficiently, while paying attention to detail.
8. Able to operate machinery and various hand tools such as: box and pan, roll form, Manga Bend, spot welding, clincher, Snap-Lock, Pittsburg, and CNC auto brake.
9. Able to operate a forklift.
10. Able to understand oral and written instructions.
11. Able to interpret and compose work orders, understand software used.
12. Responsible to follow safety protocols.
13. Responsible for being punctual (coming to work on time).
14. Responsible for cleanliness, maintenance of equipment, tools, and vehicles.
15. Perform additional related duties as requested.
