Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pre-Engineered Metal Building Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, particularly in the installation of pre-engineered metal buildings. They should possess excellent problem-solving abilities, the ability to read blueprints, have an attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. The role will involve working on various construction sites to assemble and erect pre-engineered metal buildings and metal panel siding and roofing. Wage is based on experience level.
Responsibilities:
Preparation and Planning: Assist in reviewing building plans and specifications as well as organizing tools and materials necessary for installation.
Assembly and Installation: Assemble pre-engineered metal building components, including steel erection, anchor bolts, roofing (PBR and Standing-Seam Roofs), siding, insulation, trims, doors, and windows.
Collaboration: Work closely with other construction team members and management to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding progress and any challenges encountered.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on construction sites. Identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in the construction industry, with a focus on pre-engineered metal building installation. A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, anchor bolt shop drawings, and construction drawings. Strong technical skills in metal building assembly and erection, including knowledge of steel erection components as well as siding and roofing components.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and operating power tools and machinery. Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to take direction from supervisors and collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols. Experience with OSHA guidelines and safety training is a plus.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in construction, welding, rigging, or equipment operation may be beneficial.
Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record may be required for travel to and from job sites.
Location: Projects are typically based around the Eugene and Albany areas with infrequent projects out of town.
