The Materials Recovery Coordinator provides expertise to Lane County contractors, project owners, and architects who want to increase efficiency through improved operations and resource conservation strategies. This position represents BRING in public through business visits, project site visits, presentations, participation in public events, and written reports.
The Materials Recovery Coordinator is a non-exempt employee and reports to the Director of Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule and conduct consultations and direct assistance for a variety of entities in Lane County, including (but not limited to) construction companies, architecture firms, developers, nonprofits, and project owners.
Provide advice, referrals, on-site assistance, and detailed reports to businesses in construction-related waste prevention, reuse, and recycling.
Track and report program effectiveness, including waste diversion rates and material recovery data.
Maintain confidential data and photos from projects.
Prepare summary reports for program participants.
Network and collaborate with other local nonprofits, government agencies, and business associations to increase conservation awareness and achievements.
Publicize the program through networking, public and private sector presentations and events, and social media.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in outdoor or industrial environments for extended periods.
Comfortable working at active construction sites, warehouses, and outdoor locations in varying weather conditions.
Compliance with all required safety procedures and PPE usage.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in sustainability, construction, waste management, or a related field.
Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, LEED accreditation, or other relevant training.
Bilingual abilities (preferred but not required).
